Κιτ Εισαγωγής - Performance intakes from some of the premier manufacturers in the world. Performance intakes create more power by reducing restrictions in the intake tract. Original intakes designed by the car manufacturer have sound suppression as one of their main priorities. Sound suppression creates restrictions in the intake tract due to the use of resonator boxes and/or excess piping and/or piping which has too small a diameter. Performance intakes are not designed to suppress the intake sound giving air a more direct route into the engine. On standard engines performance intake systems give around 2-5% power increase on normally aspirated and more on turbocharged engines. Performance intakes also noticeably improve throttle response on both types of engine. The power gains on modified engines is even more because the filter elements can flow much more air than the standard paper filter. It is important to use an intake from a respected manufacturer to ensure dust particles are stopped from entering the engine. Cheap, non branded filter elements can let in more dust to the engine which gradually damage the engine over time as the dust can damage the bores & seals in the engine. |
